The Met Gala theme this year was  'Sleeping Beauties--Reawakening Fashion', and the mega-event paid homage to centuries of style evolution while celebrating the delicate fashion pieces and outfits often overlooked in the fast-paced world of changing fashions, In reality, Alia re-awakened international media attention and focus to the Indian-Hindustani traditional wear of the elegant saree.

At the Met Gala spotlight, alluring Alia made a grand royal entry in a breathtaking beautiful floral-pattern Sabyasachi-designed Indian saree, marking her second time appearance at the prestigious international event. With a costume train trail flow that practically covered most of the red carpet, Alia Bhatt Kapoor's ensemble was a show-stopper capturing the attention of all exciting foreign onlookers and both local American news-media and international media photographers alike.

The exuberant Alia Bhatt Kapoor had actually marked her Met Gala debut last year (in 2023) with a breathtaking ensemble of a shining white gown crafted and designed by Prabal Gurung. Her homage to Karl Lagerfeld in a bespoke white gown, adorned with delicate pearls, captured timeless elegance and garnered widespread acclaim.

With her versatile range of contrast roles excellent performances and agile graceful dancing in landmark Hindi movies Alia even won the National Film Award for Best Actress for Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022) and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress ( setting a record) five times for her roles in Udta Punjab (2016), Raazi (2018), Gully Boy (2019), Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022) and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), in addition to the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for Highway (2014). She has also won the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actress in a Web Original Film for Darlings (2022) Alia Bhatt Kapoor was listed in first place in The Times of India's "50 Most Desirable Women" in the recent past and she was named the "Sexiest Asian Woman" by the UK magazine Eastern Eye in 2019...

The dedicated Alia Bhatt Kapoor made her fantastic lead actress debut with showman Karan Johar’s musical romantic super-hit ‘Student of The Year’ in 2012.  Even after 12 years, all of us including me at Hindi MAYAPURI  magazine strongly feel that she still reigns at the top--- as the Ideal wife of super-star Ranbir Kapoor,    the ideal daughter and daughter-in-law and now the ideal loving Mother of her little baby Raha. ! .
